Snapped CV Joint, Help Needed Please

My Cerb has just snapped the O/S Outer CV Joint and I have a track day booked at Bedford next Saturday aaaahhhhh.

Got my track day wheels sorted (RL17's), Got my track day silencers sorted, and just spent the morning fitting my video camera, was just going out for a
trial run to check the quality of the footage & BANG no drive.

Then I look on Racetech's web site for a replacement drive shaft, £495 + VAT

Does anyone know what the CV joints are from ? I thought I read somewhere that they where Ford Granada or did I dream that bit!

Anyway I need either a source for the drive shafts at a sensible price or just the CV joints, can anyone help me please

If its just the joint you need here you are £99 + vat from TVR power

And Chim/Griff Drive shafts are the same as the Cerbs if looking for used ones

Well I've just taken the shaft and joint off and it's a broken drive shaft not the CV joint, I should have looked properly before asking for help, sorry

TVR Power have the shafts @ £169 + VAT is that my best option ?

Thanks Guys thats just the sort of info I needed, raceproved it is.

Is this a common problem with Cerbs & should I change both ?

Two RaceProved Hi Torque drive shafts arrived today in plenty off time for me to fit them ready for Saturday's fun

After a week of Cerbera ownership highs & lows I'm back on a high again, drive shafts are fitted and tested just in time for a day at Bedford Autodrome tomorrow. A quick check of the video footage looks like that should work well also, so when I have some tail happy fun I should be able to share it all with you.

I am also very surprised at how different my cerb feels with RL17's on I'd say it's a much better drive than with the Spiders, anyone experience this?

Glad you got it fixed Marto. I think most people agree that the RL17's are the best wheel for the Cerbera. Other wheels are for 'looks' - the RL17 does the job.

Personally I like both the ride and look of the RL17's. I think the 40 profile tyre looks 'right' in proportion and provides a better ride than the 18's with 35 profile.
