Is anybody else here brave enough to admit to still liking a bit of early '90s Eurodance?

I've been watching some old music videos on YouTube recently and some of the my favourites have to be the usual suspects from this genre:

Haddaway
2 Unlimited
Culture Beat
Captain Hollywood
The Shamen
Usura
KLF

Any further contributions to this list are welcome.

Bloody love 2 Unlimited - I still have "no limits" and "real things". I go through phases of dusting them off and thinking it's the best thing ever.

...I'm probably not the sterotypical drummer in a heavy metal band, I listen to an LOT of awful crap like this wink

The Shamen
KLF
Er. Not sure that's their genre classification! Both came from the indie scene IIRC. I mean, KLF's "1987 What the fk is going on?" isn't very eurodance at all (I still have that album somewhere). Oh, and the newer stuff was trance/acid... kinda.

Yes, I remember this one. I have it on my first ever CD - Energy Rush II (1992).

KLF - utterly fantastic.

Believed in the 'Illuminati',sang about the 'ancients of MuMu' and persuaded Tammy Wynette to guest on a song.

Loopy and catchy.

People are getting a little mixed up.

Eurodance is mainly dutch artists such as 2 unlimited/snap/capella etc.

KLF are not eurodance but true pioneers of dance imho.

I agree. I lived in Germany in 1995/96 and Eurodance was massive. I even received a free magazine from one of the record labels which I'm pretty sure was called Eurodance magazine, although I can't find any real reference to it on Google.

Big in Germany at the time were Scooter (yes, they have been around that long), E-rotic, U96, Sin with Sebastian, and my favourite at the time, Dune.

I've got albums from all of them and I still enjoy listening to them from time to time.

Its not mainly Dutch artists though that made up the Eurodance genre, it was a lot of European artists in general, although one of the ones you have mentioned above was Dutch (2 Unlimited). Snap were German although the singers were various nationalities at different times. Capella was started by an Italian although I think it was when they had a British singer (and producer?) that it was most successful.
