All well and good...

Yup, I'm here (from boxa.net).
To answer Dom's question, it is a shame there is no RS version. If there was, I would buy one.
It would need:
1) GT3 seats,
2) lighter doors/door trim and dash,
3) lighter bonnet (a la GT3 RS),
4) option of a cage (!) and harnesses, or a more serious roll bar set up,
5) the lightest wheels possible,
6) thinner carpets, no carpet in the boot(s),
7) slightly firmer suspension...the sports suspension would be fine,
8) about 300 BHP,
9) and crucially, lighter flywheel so it revs more freely like a motorbike,
10) noisy exhaust,
11) and a cool RS badge on the back and probably stickers down the side.
12) cooling ducts for the front brakes with proper channels to direct the air to the centre of the wheels,
13) oil temp guage and volt meter like a 996,
14) club sport option with fire extinguisher / Nomex seats,
15) funky but easily worn out suede steering wheel (a bit smaller than standard),
16) quick shift gear change,
That would do. I suspect a white one with red or blue decalls might look cheesy, so why not offer black or orange ones like they did in 1973, still with the transfers on the side of the car?
Evo would rave about this car!

Damn right. An RS Boxster would be fantastic. I will gladly rip any cupholder out of any car, so just come around to mine when you feel brave enough
9m (ninemeister) has already worked out a spec for a Boxster RS. He just needs one of you lovely people to oblige him with a blank cheque and a waiver to resale value

They already do a type of RS Boxster...
It's called the RUF 3600S
When you buy just specify a few little changes and voila... BoxsterRS

The quality of Alois' cars is truely exceptional.
I've been up to over 200mph in Adamt's dad's RTurbo, the car did over 20 runs over the double-ton then drove back home to Wiltshire.
They barely need servicing. Apparantly Alois' advice was just to rag the nuts off it every once in a while to clean the plugs out!
They are very well put together also. Their reliability puts Porsche to shame.
Can't go wrong really
