Transfer number plates onto a car that isn't yours

Is this possible, i have a plate on retention that instead of sitting on a piece of paper could be on my sisters car?

If i'm not on the v5 can i put it on her car?

you need to add her as the nominee so that she is on the retention cert then it can go on her car. you can do this at the same time.

she will then have the rights to the plate

Yes she would have to pay £25 and she would be the new owner.
Did this last week wife had a spare plate in her name it's now mine at that cost too.
