N.West & N.Wales 'Bunch of Fives' meet, 10th April 2011

April's meet (No5) will now include a short 30 minute, 17 mile run over the Llandegla Moors to the famous Ponderosa Café, situated at the top of the Horseshoe Pass near Llangollen. The route has been particularly chosen for it's twists/turns & has been a firm biker favourite for as long as I can remember & IMHO also lends itself to the style & handling the MX5/Roadster.
The meet/start point has been moved to allow a more direct route for the start of the run but is still just off the A55 & less than a mile away from the original venue - also, the date has been put back one week from the normal first Sunday of the Month to avoid the clash with Mothers Day.
I would like to suggest that everyone arrives before 9:45am to allow a short briefing & collection of written directions (should anyone lose the main party en-route) - for a 10:00am departure.

I've offered several maps below in various resolutions to allow both regulars & those that have not been before, an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the start point:
Below is a detailed list of directions, a copy of which will also be supplied on the day along with my mobile No, prior to departure:
1. Head northeast on St Davids Park = 285 ft
2. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto B5125 = 318 ft
3. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto the A494 ramp to Mold//Chester/Conwy/A55 = 0.2 mile
4. Merge onto A494 = 0.2 mile
5. Take the exit onto A55 toward Chester/Wrexham = 1.6 miles
6. At junction 35, take the A550 exit to Wrexham = 0.1 mile
7. At the roundabout, take the 4th exit onto A550 heading to Wrexham/A541/Pen-y-ffordd/Corwen/A5104/Buckley/A549
8. Continue straight on, next 2 roundabouts = 2.0 miles
9. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A5104 = 1.7 miles
10. Turn left at A541 = 125 ft
11. Take the 1st right onto Corwen Rd/A5104 Continue to follow A5104 = 8.0 miles
12. Turn right at A525 = 43 ft
13. Take the 1st left onto A5104 = 0.7 mile
14. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto A542 = 2.0 miles
15. After slight left - The Ponderosa Café will be on the left = 410 ft
