T350 buying tips and prices
Discussion
Hi guys,
Apologies if i've missed a big thread on exactly this, but has anyone come across a buyers guide for a T350?
I've started to look for the "right" car, but haven't bought a TVR before and want to make sure i don't overlook anything fundamental.
I've also noticed cars with similar mileages etc range from c.18k to 25k - is there a specific reason for this?
All help welcome
cheers
tom

Average mileage for TVRs seems to be 4,000 - 5,000 miles per year, so this fits in with what you are seeing. Some people do more of course.
As for a buyers guide, best just do a search and find posts from people looking to buy a Tamora, T350 or Sagaris, the issues are the same. Most important things IMO are condition and how the owner treats the car.

Remember that mileage and condition don't always mirror each other. Hence a 10'000 mile car at £18k may well be a worse buy than a 25k miles car at £23k.
Buy these cars on condition and history first and colour/trim second. If the figures are to be believed only around 400 T350s were ever made, with less than 100 of these in targa form (hence the 2k or so premium - well worth it IMHO).
Also, the cheaper car may lack the essential (IMHO) air-con and the desirable full leather, both of which were 2k options from new.

Read, read, read and take your time
This forum is a great place, I found it very interesting and also fun to just read (old) topics here and build up some knowledge. My interest in seriously buying a T350 started I think 2 years ago and I was at first actually clueless about the cars. Reading helped, talking with some people helped even more. And I looked at all classifieds that ever passed here on PH since years ago (or maybe even longer ago) until I bought my car last January. Take your time and if you find yourself drawn more and more towards the cars than I am sure you will find the right car in time.

If you find a car you are interested in look at the service history and get in touch with the people who last serviced the car. They will more than likely have records on the car as to what advisories they gave the owner the last time it was in.
I found this one really useful...http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... T350
