Is it just me but do the cerb prices seem to be stronger this year,and they would appear to be selling fairly fast too.

Seems to me that they levelled out at the cheaper end of the scale and have got stronger for S6's (they are higher than they were 5 yrs ago for same early S6!) and for the later and/or best condition cerbs. It kinda makes it worth it to keep throwing cash at them :-)

I think you are right. They do seem to be fetching a bit more this year. I also noticed that there were no cerbs at all for sale in Sprint this month. Lets hope that they hang onto the shirt tails of Griffs, seems like they are doing very well. It's about time cerbs were appreciated for the great value supercar they are. Here's hoping.

Most fetching good money are from dealers or 4.5s which have always fetched better money from since I've been keeping an eye on the classifieds? The lower priced 4.2s are all private, even the slightly healthier looking ones out there are around or under the £10k mark..

Its quite intriguing how few 4.2s are actually for sale, its usually the 4.5s which are a rare sight.

I would like to know what mine is worth. It might be difficult to price as it is such a superb example. The engine bay is near concourse, so is the interior. The chasis is mint and original. The main dealer who has looked after it for the 8 yrs i have owned it says its the best cerb he knows of. It's a 98 4.2 with 30k miles and every stamp in the book. The car looks, drives and even smells like new, but i bet i would'nt get what i think it's worth. As they say, it's only worth what someone is willing to pay, but i know i would have a hell of a job replacing it like for like. I have seen many lovely shiney examples, but when you get underneath them they're not as good as they look. How do you price a car like mine when to the averaqge punter it may look overpriced? Not that i intend to sell it.

Ive just sold mine to a dealer for £1600 more than I paid for it 2 years ago. So I would say prices are definatly on the up.Ive only sold mine because I wanted a T350 for the track but when I get another cerb latter on this year im expecting the prices will have gone up.

I think you price it according to its condition. An average 98 4.2 might be worth £13K but a good one is maybe £16K or maybe more to a discerning buyer?
If you want the higher end then you will need to market it well.
I have spent about the value of your car just on repairs and servicing in the last 18 months! :-) Money well spent.
