Compared to what you can get for the same money from Audi and Mercedes not really.

Wasn't a fan of the old 6-series, other than the M6, which seemed to suit it's looks, but...

The new one is LOVELY.

Presumably so the GT retains a decent boot. The quality of roof on the 6 series is awesome and yet you can still get a reasonable amount of gear in the boot with the roof down unlike say an M3. Factor in that the surface area on a 6 series roof is bigger and curvier then producing a metal roof that does not completley fill the boot when open is logistically impossible and adds further weight.

I actually think the rear look on the 6 with the buttresses is the best angle as well but appreciate that might not be the majority view

I think it will be a grower. I didn't like the E63 when it first came out... still bought one once it had matured for a few years.

I see they have excelled themselves with the colour choice...there are seven metallic colours of which two are shades of brown

They have also found yet another way to xtend the options list "Ceramci Controls" for £385 which I take it is posh plastic ?!?! The profit margin on that must be about £380!
