Tyre sizes for 17x7.5j

I have some 17x7.5 Ford RS Softline alloys that I wish to fit to my Griff 500. Please can anyone tell me the correct size tyres to fit? Thanks for any help on this matter.

Ive got 245 40 17 zz3 avons on my 17x7.5 wheels and 215s on the front.

Are the front tyres also 40 profile?

hi craig, try this for working out your tyre sizes, put in the standard tyre size then compare with the bigger wheel to get the same overall diameter.

Hi Clive. I,ve just been on something very similar. Looks like I need 215/40 Front and 245/45 Rear to keep the diameters the same. What tyres did you like on your Griff? Toyo T1R seem popular atm on TVRs.

I had 245 45 16 on the back as standard so you will need a 40 series tyre if youve got 17" wheels wont you?
