I took some guys from work along with a few clients to the track in Zhuhai, China on Saturday.

We hired 5 Ginetta G20's, which all the other guys drove.

I scored a drive in an Atom and also in a Caterham with a Fireblade engine.

The Caterham was an absolute riot, the guy who owns it just bought an R500 and has the Blade up for sale.

Here's a video of me scaring the poo out of one of my clients.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=693U_x0q_rI

My Ultima was built more as a hotrod than a racecar, so I'm trying to get my head around why I would bother risking damage to the Ultima on the track when I can buy this Caterham for the price of a few sets of Tires..... and if the engine blows up its bugger all to fix.

It would also save me having to worry about Chinese mechanics fixing the Ultima.

Cracking video buddy, now either the video makes it look as though the car is faster than it is, or that Ferrari (white) had some serious modifications @ 55 seconds.

Does look geat fun though.

7's are the dogs on the track!!! They dont eat tyres, fuel and your not a target for everyman and his Subaru

The Caterham sounds a great plan and indeed one i shall be joining you with.

Standing quarters and the like for the Ultima as i cant afford to get t boned

I think that is a good idea and alreada the sequential box would make me do it, on the track I think that is mandatory

The Ferrari and the white Honda sedan are both in full race trim.... and we were 2 fat blokes in a 900cc car with a bike clutch.

What's with the steering wheel? Is the owner a "Knight Rider" fan? Or does he just have fat legs?

looks like big fun to me biggrin

that Lotus 340R looks fast too...is it just 176<>190hp or does it have the honda conversion (220<>320hp)

and indeed, if you drive such light car alone its way faster, makes a difference in weight to power.

Not a bad idea but I think I'd like a full cage in a 7 If I was going to go tracking more. But I am a wimp as far as safety goes... Looks like your having fun anyway and that's what it's all about buddy..

On my side, I took the opposite way. I mean I had first a 7 (1,6L and then CSR260) and now an Ultima.
The Cat is cheaper on the track but more sensations with the Ult...
Here are 2 pics, one in track config and the other for road.

Just a word of warning, those Raceleda Ally front uprights have had a few steering arm failures with the welded arms shown on the photograph. Don't worry the new owners of that product (Rally Design), have designed some new Forged items to replace the welded ones. They have even said they will change the old one for free, even If you didn't buy it from them. So If you have the car then get in contact with them to get replacements bud......
Other than that quite green with envy there bud....yes

My first Seven had the same roll cage...
But unusable for me on the track as my car was, of course, LHD.
Enjoy !

Hi Clive... yeah I saw something about that on a forum, I'm looking into it.
