I'm in the market for a new 32" LED TV. I've currently got a Samsung LCD and I've very happy with it, so thinking I'll stick with them, unless there is a reason not to?

Critera:

Line Out (My Bose is setup to be used by the TV)
1080p (I might not need it, but I'll always be annoyed I didn't get it!)
Thin/small frame (I'm tight for space!)

I don't need freeview built in, or network services, I just need to to take HDMI x 2+.

Picture may not quite cut it according to the "professional reviews" but all but the anally discerning would be more than happy with the Samsung based upon performance per £

In fact, 99% of observers will notice the difference.

In about 3 seconds.

And it is massive.

Unless I'm totally thick, you've started a topic asking effectively "which 32" LED backlit LCD TV?" but said it should be Samsung.
You then proceed to rattle off a list of specs it must have, but fail to mention what budget you're working with, only to put down the first suggestion because it's outside your undisclosed price range.

If you're committed to Samsung due to prior knowledge of the brand, and your view of value or money, then is there any reason this thread even exists when their specs and prices can be obtained from using Google and their own website?

And you've not even disclosed the usage it gets - football, movies, background noise, console gaming - nor explained the tight space restriction.

4/10 - must try harder.

Oh, and 1080p on a 32" is pointless unless being used as a PC monitor and watching blu-rays from 3' away.

You're totally thick.

I said I currently had Samsung, so I'd happily have the same, unless they are no longer any good.

I want recommendations of what I should buy, my criteria is small, so I'd expect a lower cost anyway.

Why do I need to explain the tight space situation? I can fit in a 32", but would rather have the 'smallest' 32" than a chunky one, so it looks like its not eating all the space. Would you like a diagram?

Usage, its a TV, its going to show stuff on TV. So that'll be all of the above.

I don't case what you're opinion is on 1080p on 32". My post even says "I might not need it, but I'll always be annoyed I didn't get it!", so your advise is pointless here.

Then as that's your view of the situation, may I suggest you spend less time writing daft posts, and use it more constructively to visit brand sites for model specs and code, and then Google to tell you how much they are.
One or more will, no doubt, meet your exacting criteria perfectly, bar Freeview, as that's standard fayre these days (and has been for pretty much the past 10 years).

I have a 32" Panasonic LED set. One of my requirements was a 32" with built in Freesat and that only came with a 1080 screen. I sit more than 3' away and I can see an improvement when switching to HD programs. Even SWMBO (who is no technophile) commented on the picture improvement.

You're seeing the improvement of HD over SD, but stick a blu-ray on it, and set the output to 720p, then 1080p - you not notice any difference.
Ergo, whilst it's the norm now, you gain no benefit from the higher pixel count than you would if the same set was produced in HD Ready flavour!
It's a marketing ploy to get you into BR mindset, both movies and playback hardware. Of course, once you realise you need a bigger screen to see the improvement 1080p offers, then the rest is self explanatory.

May I suggest you fk off? No? Don't like it?

Other people seem to have understood what I'm after. Which, in summary is, what 32" TV to buy.

Now, there are probably 15+ answers. So I try to narrow it down, it needs to be 1080p, needs to have line out. Now were probably down to 5ish. I then make the point that I'm limited on size, so the smaller the physical size, the better. Now, there will only be one 'smallest', so there is my answer.

All I'm asking for is someone who knows their stuff about LED's offer their advise for a virtual pint. If you have no valid input, again fk off.

I've just bought a Samsung UE40C5800 40" backlit LED from Amazon for £560 and while I am sure you can get better for a few hundred more, it's a good set with good menus etc. It has Freeview in it though we still can't get it but it cost no more. It has 4 HDMI inputs and an optical output though limited to one SCART adaptor and component input.

Can't comment on the 32" sets but thought this MIGHT help.

Thanks, looks good. Loving the wireless connection, this will mean I won't have to turn the PS3 on all the time.

Doesn't have Audio out, but I think I'll have to settle for a audio swapper box. I will hardly need to change it anyway.

You have to buy the wireless adaptor separately. I keep meaning to look it up and see how much it is.

Hmmm, Sony KDL-40NX703 inc full network repertoire for close to the price of the Gaegogi kit + dongle...

Remember, cheapness is not the same as value.

Pfft.....if that's your best retort, then you suck at it!
Go take a look through my posting history, you'll see MANY new TV buyers have been demonstrably more helpful in providing info on their viewing habits and needs.
As I said from the outset, you know what you want, so what's the point of asking what you should get?
How hard is it to spend a bit of time looking at the specs on Samsung and LG's sites?
If you want to narrow it down on price and specs, then jump on pricerunner.co.uk, and filter the criteria.
From there you'll see which one looks the one you'd like sitting in your room.

You've still not defined a budget, although dismissing the Panasonic Der recommended straight off suggests it's less than £700, so how is anyone here supposed to offer any sort of recommendation that meets your criteria, when a crucial one hasn't been made known.

I am now leaving you to contemplate your utter ttishness in this whole debacle.
One final suggestion, stick to posting about Australian bullies being picked up and dropped on the ground - at least there your posts made sense!

This Particular set is so new that the paint is still wet on it, I din't think there's been
a review yet, but when we put it out it looked absolutely fabulous straight out of the box
which is very unusual, but after some tweaking it got better! In comparison with an 8000 series
Philips set next to it at the time it more than held it's own dispite being cheaper.

I expect the experts in the British a/v media will pan it, because half of the time they haven't
a clue on how to set it up wink

toys back in pram ladies?

Listen to der and the tdm'ster, they are good at this stuff.

as an aside, will you use it connected to bose every single time? I always found the speakers on samsung's to be a bit "lacking"
