Same manager as Beckham and Andy Murray.
I'd also add that a lot of Lewis Hamilton is not very McLaren-ish. He brings a bit of bling to a team with an otherwise very conservative image.
I guess it could work very well for both parties.I'd also add that a lot of Lewis Hamilton is not very McLaren-ish. He brings a bit of bling to a team with an otherwise very conservative image.
And I reckon Simon Fuller will make LH even richer than he would have been otherwise!
A very astute appointment by LH.
I can't help thinking Lewis has missed a trick here, if he wanted to develope his brand then surely there is only one man for the job ?

I wish they'd just get on with racing and say it like it is, rather than developing themselves into a walking ad. campaign.
Trust me on this, that walking ad campaign can get them mush more money in a year then any F1 drive. But I know what you mean. I Just hope Lewis does not do what Button is doing, First I watch him do a bloody Channel 5 spot for Valentine's Day, and now a very bad Head and Shoulders Add, oops!Stack said:

Those photos are priceless. I can't see how he looked at the hand pose photo and thought that it was a good idea. http://www.stuartbaggs.com/index.php

The only thing that worries me with managers are their own greed. Look at football agents for example. I would hate to see Lewis being pushed to another team.
Mansell had CSS Stellar as management, Senna had Julian Jakobi at IMG and numerous drivers have had outside managers....Mika Hakkinen had Keke Rosberg's brother in law! Fuller is no genius, Beckham had excellent management until he left Barcelona and Lewis wants somebody to organise his life, carry his bag, refuel the plane and book cars etc. Fuller and XIX don't have much leverage with McLaren as Lewis cannot do much outside work nor PR and Red Bull have no real backers apart from the Team Owner.
McLaren own their drivers but in return the drivers get a huge amount in return, jets from TAG Aviation (Bombardier), cars from M-B, clothes for life from Boss, watches from TAG Heuer, plus, plus, plus.
XIX dont do tax planning, legal work etc but will just act as flunkeys to the growing Lewis entourage. he wants to be big in the USA, Nicole tells him that every week, and XiX have interests there.
Lewis would have been better off with CAA, IMG or even Octagon.

Look at DC for example, he was pushed towards Maclaren by his management because of money, not performance. Wrong move with hindsight, he'd probably have been WC at least once. Surely LH will have more control over his destiny, but once these hangers on get going I doubt it.... Also teaming up with a 'celeb' like Nicole s
tsinger or whatever her last name is won't do him any favours. I cringe when Brundle speaks to her on the gridwalk, clueless says it all.
