feels like a sales pitch tbh...pay them a fee and they "match" you to a job?

anyone got any history with these guys - I'm in Leeds and I've never heard of them...

thanks in advance,

I tend to be nervous of any company that charges candidates on this basis. If they are offering CV's training, assessments etc thats one thing but to match you to a job for a fee - don't see it! The model is simple enough in recruitment, the company pays a percentage or advertising cost. There are companies out there that will do full assessments and very sophisticated role matching FOC to the candidate, I know as I do that myself!

I am no veteran of the industry but have carried out extensive research into what people like and don't like about the recruitment industry and we heard a lot of negatives and not a single positive about these kinds of companies.

Thanks for that, my thoughts exactly.

I've had tonnes of experience of high street recruiters - good but mostly bad / average and I'm back on the market after 3 and half years.

finding it very very tough, as I'm sure most people are.

Recruiters are being incredibly picky and agencies beng very blasie (sp?) about relationships, somewhat forgetting that candidates become recruiters and we will remember those that were too busy to get feedback etc...

ho-hum....

thansk again

That is exactly why we have set up a new business to address these concerns. I totally understand as I felt very frustrated myself. There are a couple of excellent recruiters on here and of course you welcome to register with our new site. Happy to PM you a link as I don't think one is supposed to post in the forums (any one know for sure?!)

Might be worth saying here what kind of work you are looking for.

Don't use this service and don't bother with "high street" recruiters. Try the financial services specialists such as Badenoch & Clark, WH Mark Sattin, Morgan McKinley etc. I personally believe your chance of success will increase dramatically, although you may have to be prepared to move away from central govt.

Good luck!
