A friend of mine is in a band called who have just released a free-EP.

They've go a sound similar to early Oasis, except a bit heavier. They've got some good gigs coming up in the Glasgow area over the next couple of months, including one at Barrowlands 2.

Have a listen, let me know what you think...

Honest opinion - on the 2nd and third track - good effort, as you say, sounds like someone trying to be Oasis but not quite having the depth yet. OK basic sound, but the vocal makes it sound more Proclaimers than Oasis on Blackout. Final track is a bit more 70's punk to my ears.

I like it though. Keep at it, it's a good start. Lose the local accent on the vocals for the slower lyrics that make it more noticeable. Perhaps they need to decide whether to be an Oasis tribute band, or to get a style of their own.
