Took the hard top off for the first time since buying the car.
Was a nice surprise to find it has a brand new roof with a glass rear window!

A really nice drive home today - although it was amazing how less rigid the car feels with the hard top off
Piccys:

New Shiny roof:

Roof Off:

Hard top in the garage - where it's going to stay!

Not bad for a 17 year old car with 135,000 miles on the clock

I had my soft top UP for the first time since I bought it 4 weeks ago, on Saturday - top down whenever possible is the way forward!!!

Nice looking car btw!

Ditto. Since owning the car, I've had the roof down more than up.

Ditto on the nice looking car, white is definitely best wink

Surprised you bought an MX5 without looking at the condition of the roof before the purchase. Anyway, nice one smile

I bought the car as a long term project, something I could enjoy driving and fix up as I go.
I always budgeted for a new roof so this was a pleasant suprize
Just needs 4 new tyres and alignment and I'll look at selling it ready for summer

Ah cool, I was on there as Jonny671 (I think!). IIRC it was when I was working at 2Modified, if you remember us?

Didn't know you had an MX5 Jezz. And i've not been on there much in the last few months, maybe since august...
