lambda sond (O2) sensor problem on mk3
Discussion
Hi everyone
I'm a newb, so please forgive me if i'm putting this in the wrong section.
I recently bought a 2005 mk3 MX5, and although the car runs great the engine warning lamp has come on. Mazda in Poland charged me 500zl (roughly 100 pounds) to run a diagnostic which revealed a faulty "upper lambda sond sensor". Now they're telling me it'll cost 2100zl (420 pounds) for the new part (which they claim they have to import from Belgium!?) plus fitting!! They're not the most helpful bunch, and I get the feeling they're charging way too much.
Does anyone have any experience with these sensors? Can I buy and fit one myself, or does anybody know of anyone in Poland who can do it for a more reasonable price?
Any help/advice would be highly appreciated
