I have an MOT failure due to an E46 M3 19” wheel being out of shape (likely to be a pot hole but I'll be damned if I can remember hitting one!). Replacement cost by dealer is £450ish.

However, in addition the other wheels aren't that tidy (even though they were only redressed 12 months ago by the dealer before I bought the car).

Two questions:

- Can I get a 19" OEM replacement wheel cheaper than £450 quickly?

- Is there much discount on buying a full set? In which case I would prefer 18" wheels really but conscious this may devalue the car - is this a real/significant issue?

Any thoughts welcome. Thanks

Would you be interested in a used set of 19" with tyres f0r 450?
Cheers

eBay. There's loads on there and you could buy a single to see you through.

When I ran an M3, I had two sets of wheels - winter/summer. This came about as one of the wheels were buckled on a pothole. I think I paid £300 for 4 tatty one's off eBay, kept the best 4 of all 8 and had the other 4 refurbed.

One note though, don't get a cheap refurb. I had mine done and even at top dollar they're hard to get looking right.

try http://www.fabdirect.com/

not the cheapest, but reasonable and a good service, I'm highly likely to be calling them about an alternator this afternoon if my local place can't rebuilt mine.
