I need to change the rears on the T350, I've down to 3mm or so tread on Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3s.

Currently on standard sizes, but want to go to 255/35/18.

I wanted to try the new Eagle F1 Assymetric 2 - but they don't seem to be available yet in that size on Blackcirles.

Want something that performs well, and isn't made of cheese - i.e. will last a decent time.

Seem to be in the region of £200 each!

Done almost 10K on my rear toyo's 6K on the front and they are still OK. Good in the wet & dry. Wise choice with the wider tyre, helps with the traction control......

I'm running BF Goodrich G-Force profiler 2s on mine and they're great. I can from Eagle F1s and they're certainly as good as.

The new Eagle F1's are £212 each, compared to £173 for the 'old'. Not sure I'll notice that much difference tbh!!

I have 225x35x18 on the front, and 235x40x18 on the rear (Tam). Are these the standard tyres sizes on 18" Spiders?

Are there any implications in going to a different size such as 255x35x18, as I will need new rears this year?

I rate the vredestein ultrac sessanta's but not tried them on the tvr, very good in the wet and less road noise than goodyears, also very good on wear and good price too, i use camskills.

Just had a pair of toyo proxes on the rear of my tamora . Was advised not to go for new eagle f1 as not so good in wet . Kept with 235 40 18s . Pretty chuffed so far . Also , has anyone tried changing fronts to a different size as toyos seem hard to find in 225 35 18 .

Try 225 40 18 much easier to get. If doing track days alter suspension to suit if just for road use you wont notice the difference

Whose advice? They are bl00dy good in the wet. I'm sure the Toyos are good too though.

Agree with Targarama.
Nothing at all wrong with Goodyear assymetrics in the wet( or dry0 for that matter.
I am going to put the new Michelin Pilot Supersports on the back of the Sag.
Will report back in due course.

Right, rang up Blackcircles and they put them on the website for me - as they've just signed a new deal with Goodyear direct.

£191 each fully fitted, which wasn't bad - go through Quidco for 2.5% cashback too.

Yes.

I don't think the wider tyre will fit on standard spiders. You need to change to SP12s or the like.

I have just fitted Toyo R1R's 255/35/18 onto the rears. These fit great onto the standard spiders.

Cheers. Lee.

Had 255 assymetrics on mine before I swapped to the sp12's

The new F1 is way better than the old in both wet & dry

Now got R1R's on the sp12's and very impressed

Fitted today, very quick with the delivery!!

Tyres seem fine, it was wet today and seemed to be much more traction.

Also had full alignment done - and it seems much smoother to drive (on the limited wet drive home I did).

The R1R's are really good tyres, very impressed. First drive out was in a lot of rain and standing water and they felt fine.

They give amazing grip in the dry and there is plenty of edge protection for the rim. Will be fitting these on the front as well 225/40/18 and hopefully upgrading to nitrons.

Cheers. Lee.

Went for a good drive today, handling was weird, like another car!

Guess it will take some time to get used to.
