As per title, I've come into a bit of money recently and am looking to upgrade my old Panasonic CRT eek, yup a CRT!!!

I am a bit of a Panasonic fanboy as my current TV has a great picture and sound, I've also read on here the the new Pannys are just as good?

Browsing the net I've seen this,

http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/panasonic-viera-tx-p4...

Now I know I could most probably get it cheaper elsewhere, I haven't started looking that seriously yet.

Is it worth going for the 3D technology now or worth waiting a while until it's more widely availiable?

Cheers!

I've just bought the 3D Sony 40LX903 fo another £200.00 with free 3D bundle thrown in as well (thats normally £550 and consists of S470 Blu-ray player,2 more pairs of glasses,x5 3D films, transmitter). Getting delivered tommorrow but absolute bargain at £1199.00

Whether 3D TV really takes of is another story but for that price I thought I'd give it a go. The Panasonic VT20 also gets great reviews and the new VT30 will be along within next few months I belive. Both will be a lot more that the Sony though.

Do you wear specs?
If yes, do you want to wear two pairs to watch TV?
If no, forget 3D.

I don't wear specs and to be honest I wouldn't be watching all TV in 3D!!!! 3D would be mainly for films and again, I have watched 3D movies in the cinema and the specs are hardly a hardship!!

If you've got a PS3 you don't need a specific 3d player as the PS3 can do it after a recent software update.
