I just thought it was about time I popped my head up and let everyone that I'm still here.
October time last year Adam a friend of mine and I who a few of you might know from last years ring trip decided that we wanted to take our 15yr old 200'000 mile Beemer for a little bit more competition than trackdays.
The car is a 328i Coupe and we bought it car just over 3 years ago for £1500 and have slowly added items like suspension, cage, brakes etc as funds have allowed or Ebay has come up trumps. After about 10 Trackdays and a whole load of fun we decided we would like to take the car and ourselves an extra step onto competitive racing.
So for the last 3 months we have been getting stuck into the old girl in the evenings and also weekends where possible and four days prior to our first race we have have finally completed our work.
It still amazes me how time just seems to double in speed whenever I take a spanner or spraygun to one of my cars but to say the least we have put in some very late nights latley.
The series we have entered is the Trackday Trophy organised by MSV and the first race with a grid of over 40 cars is at Snetteron on Saturday.
The race is a 45 Minute endurance with driver change in the middle which will be early afternoon after our practice and qually sessions.
I'm still trying to imagine what it's going to be like sitting on the grid with that many cars all around all trying to get round the first right hander in front of each other so caution may well be advised on the start.
Anyway the poor old Noble is sat in the garage with road grime and mud all over her from a trip to Silverstone in January looking very sorry for herself so to some of you guys who have been trying to get me and the car out I promise after this weekend I will again be back in the land of the living.

Paul thats a nice collection of videos there, I'm not sure that they have done my nerves any favours but I loved the one at Snetterton.
Simon, I think the beers will deffo be on us as we will be trying to keep out of too much trouble after spending so much time on the car.
