And we race at Silverstone on the 26th March.

From front wheel to rear, we will be at the back to start with, but we will learn.

great effort chaps. i was devastated for you when you showed us the fire damage. really great to see the turnaround.

My first test of the season is Friday at Donington so i share your excitement for the start of the racing season. I'm committed to the MR2 championship for the full season this year but i am testing in a Formula Renault in the F4 championship, and having a few races, later in the season. If single seater driving doesn't suit me i would be looking towards Britcar tin tops i think. we'll have to stay in touch! I'm also working on a plan to compete in the 24hrs race this year.

I've always loved the Ginettas and in that green it looks amazing (same colour as my Noble :-) as well)

All the best for the 2011 season, keep us posted on here and hopefully some of us can visit some races to show support.

cheers

James

Slightly off topic here but how did you find the Cupra R as a race car? i have heard they are pretty quick! Be intresting to see how the G50 gose also! Similar power but they are a fiar bit lighter aren't they (Sub 1000KG)? any plans to upgrade tho the G55? they looks REALLY nice! smile

The Seat Supercopa was fantastic, at the old track Snetterton, the time difference between a standard G50 and the Seta was about 1 sec, to the G50, ours has more aero so will be a little quicker, by the time we (this answers another question) upgrade to the 55 we should be a hell of a lot quicker.

Not too much lighter, about a 100kg.

At the moment we will be "driving miss daisy" till we get used to her.

We miss the Supercopa, fantastic purpose built race car, hence we went from front to rear, a different challenge and hopefuly takes our mind off the loss.

Loved the supercopa. We've both been lucky enough to drive some serious machinery but the speed you could get round a circuit in that thing took our breath away.

We would have had another one, but with one eye on moving forward as racers, the class structure in the championship really pointed us towards going GT. Once we'd decided that, the Ginetta really was the weapon of choice. Pretty flexible too, we can run it fairly standard as it is now in the P1 class and upgrade steadily all the way to GT1 if we want to.

We'll find the G55 upgrade very hard to resist! - It's a great looking racer smile

i have heard that alot about the SuperCupras! One guy that used to trackday/race/build some every fast EVOS said that they are shockingly fast. And not in a tyre spinning/slinding all over the place kind of way. He said that it wasn't until he over took a Radical on the outside of a bend that he realised just how fast he was going!! its suprising when you see the stats for them. they 'only' have 300bhp and weigh a bit over 1100kg (1250kg springs to mind for some reason). makes me wonder how fast the BTCC stuff from the late 90's would be smile

G55 is stunning. And nice to see Ginetta being very cleaver about the upgrade path. makes their cars MUCH more attactive to people i guess. Hmmmm wonder if a G50 could be converted into a road car?..... lol
