Four... err..

What a sad picture.

Wheels done look too back considering the rest of the car.

It's rare that fakes will be produced with a staggered setup. Also, if you look at the back of the wheels, you should see a BBS stamp, which is the biggest giveaway.

*I'm 99% BMW's //M wheels are made by BBS, but I could be wrong.

I'd be careful of those. Car has obviously been in a smash and that back axle looks bent to me. Look at the stance. I would hazard that the wheels could well be bent too. You mightn't be able to tell by eye.

The back axle or camber does look wrong but the guy tells me its not been in a smash but that the car is just being broken up for bits due to a rusty shell. Apparently the wheels are straight.

Probably wont make an offer now though as he wants £325 and i've seen 2 sets go on ebay for around £180 so will keep an eye out on there for another set.

Thanks for the advice on identifying fakes!

genuine "sunflowers" have M SPORT kind of engraved in the centre area - easily visible.

There are two types.........

Styling 22's

Styling 39's

The 22's are not listed for Evo model saloons.

Also in the pictures BBS is stamped around the tyre valve.
