The testing is over, bets on the table time.

I'm wagering that McLaren will sort their car out over the season and that the tyres are going to be the defining factor in all the races. I'm probably completely wrong - but here's £25 on a bit of a long shot....

18/1 isn't bad value but I still think you've just wasted £25.

Definitely wasted, but can someone explain why it is an 'estimated' return?

Guessing there's no option to 'take the odds' or OP didn't 'take the odds' so price may shorten or lengthen.

ETA: OP, who's that with?

Why write Jenson off? The reason Lewis is apparently so unhappy with his car could be that JB has had more input into the development over the winter than last year when he joined the team part way through the winter program. We all know they have very different driving styles.
Just a thought.
I hate to say it but the smart money maybe on Alfonso Bonso the sweaty Spantard!

I think that by the time the Mcca comes good, the bulls and Alonso might be to far ahead by then, only hope they have is that the Mercs get in their with them, and they all start tacking points of each other, leaving them a "smaller" mountain to climb.

If it was me, i'd be putting my money on Vettel, and if I was gonna take a long shot it would be Schumacher or Massa.

oddschecker.com gives the best odds available for each driver from the main betting sites.

I quite happy with my punt on Jenson - I think the tyres will be key this season, and he's Head & Shoulders above the rest in saving rubber.... hehe

Betting shops seem to think Red Bull are guaranteed to win - some are giving 1:1 odds!

Take the odds means you 'lock in' the price at the time of placing the bet. In other words, you place a bet on a horse at 10/1 and take the odds. The horse then has a lot of money placed on it and by the time it wins the race it is 5/1. You still get 10/1. Lengthen or shorten means it goes from 10/1 to 12/1 (lengthen) or 8/1 (shorten) see?
