Hi,

Seriously considering a 100hp. One thing I'm not clear on is the ESP. If spec'd, it cannot be turned off, so no button in the cabin. Short of shredding any potential purchase away from the forecourt to see a dashboard flicker, is there another way to tell if a car has it, preferably in advance of a test-drive? Spoken to two dealers who simply don't have a clue whether their cars have it.

While it's no show-stopper, as I've heard it's not that intrusive, I'd prefer one without.

Cheers

ESP comes with ASR, an there's a button on the dash to turn off ASR (not ESP though). I don't believe that button would be present in non-ESP cars.

And just to add, unless you're planning on serious track work, the ESP really won't ruin it. It's not very intrusive. I'd be more interested in side airbags, which seem to be pretty rare.

On the other hand, I've found the anti spin in Panda's very harsh and intrusive. You'll only really feel the ESP kicking hard in doing handbrake turns in the snow. Where it, frankly, is quite annoying.
