Good luck Stu!
It's nerve-racking isn't it? I paced up and down the workshop floor at Austec waiting for my Trev to be returned with a clean bill of health. The upside was that Mike, the chap at Austec who took it along to the MOT centre, stalled my Chim
Oops!
Being Cosmos Blue he's perfect, so do not fret, he'll pass with flying colours!!

Awww thanks.....!!
Thing is....its a government agency over ere
www.mot2-ni.gov.uk/
You have to pop into the passenger seat as the tester takes it through the brake / suspension checks etc....
Someone else driving Trev !!!....
He passed !!!
They don't see many TVR's over ere, it was fun trying to show the tester how to open the doors to get in and out, explain the back lit number plate and show him where to position the jacks on the chassis to lift him up...!!
I was a bit worried about the emissions test so made sure he was nice and warm before going through by doing a quick run up and down the dual carrage way nearby...errmm... 140mph..?? certainly not officer...!!

Had mine done today as well, took it to my local garage, but before that had it on the drive warming up while I dryed her off, anyway got to the garage and drove it into the workshop, left her running a couple of minutes and then we switched her off(nobody could hear themselves think!!
). Then came the crunch, when we went to start her again the starter motor solenoid seized due to thew heat, eventually resorted to pouring water over the starter and she restarted, phew!! Anyway had the same experience, helped with the jacking points, door opening number plate lights(opened the boot to show him)etc, was quite fun and the tester was a good laugh.
The good news was that she passed, just in time for the Mid-Essex meet tomorrow!!

You should have left him in there until he agreed to pass the Chim!
