Geoff
Morning
Is the seller a private individual or a trader - would he take another TVR as a part exchange ?
Thanks
Brian

Hi Brian,

Yes He Deals in mainly classic TVR's and would probably take another TVR in exchange.

His website is here, http://www.acroney.com/A_C_Roney/Welcome.html

Never had any dealings with Him personally but never heard anything negative either.

Cheers
Geoff

I would wait until the car has been supplied with a log book before I bought it!!!

Good luck with that one!

This was up for sale for most of last year advertised on an Irish website 'carsireland.ie'. I was very tempted as it seemed like a genuine project with everything straight and present. Whoever buys it should check whether it was originally registered as a SE if that's important to them.

Surely the V5 will just say TVR Riged Body 2 Axle Sports, you would have to check the factory records to find out if it was originally built as an SE, and since it was after 'normal' M series production, records for that car may not exist (not being cynical!).

They do look the mutts with those Compomotive Split Rims though

David, yes you're completely correct. I meant that it may not have been an original SE spec but changed by the factory later. It is undoubtedly a very pretty car and those wheels are the nutts. Whoever ends up owning it will have one of the nicest looking M's when it's done.

Amos has reposted car on Ebay for £5500. I would be wanting to find out what the tax situation was regarding purchase tax (special car Tax) as it was, import duty and VAT on a none UK registered car, many have fallen foul of this. Also potential issues with insurance for post production car so long after production ceased. It can be hard enough with some insurance companies to insure if car falls into "regular" category on their computer based systems. 1982...... Computer says NO. Looks a great car but will still need a total refurb after 26+ years in retirement. Would it need SVA?
