The real top end of horology doesn't really get discussed on here, which is a shame as there's some fantastic pieces out there.

I guess it's the old adage 'Money talks, wealth whispers'. Folk spending six figures on a watch don't seem to be posting on here asking about whacking a Nato on their Felix Baumgartner.

So, if you've seen something that ticks and costs more than your house, lets see it.

I'll start you off with something I saw in a magazine the other day, the Greubel Forsey Quadruple Tourbillon.

As is often the case, taste and wealth don't always go hand in hand.

And if I bought one, I would let you lot know, and hope if any of you lot bought one that you'd be as open about owning one.

I believe in China it's pronounced "tourbiwrong".

Vacheron Constantin Tour de l’Ile

Only 7 made consisting of 834 parts, taking over 10,000 man hours to produce.

Now we're talking ! I like the cross logo worked into the tourbillion, and also having to take my socks off to count the complications.

Devon Tread 1 ...

... which shouldn't be on this thread as it only costs 15,000 USD.

Harry Winston Opus 5 ... It's similar to a Urwerk, but more expensive!

Not sure on pricing, but considering it is a HW, probably £300K+ eek

Parmigiani Bugatti Super Sport.

Dual axis watch with the movement rotated through 90 degrees so that the driver won't need to turn his/her wrist to be able to see the time. Similar concept to a Curvex but slightly more expensive.

Carbon fibre dial and finished in 18k white gold. $259,000 (USD presumably).

That is fantastic. Although, since I'm a bit skint right now, I'll have to pass.

'Fraid not.

Even if I hit the jackpot tomororow night, you won't find anything in this thread in my watch box.

Maybe my taste needs to mature wink

How old are you? I thought I was quite young here at 25!

Ten past ten and fifty five seconds - You can just see the hour slide/marker/'hand' behind the rotating seconds smile Also, to wind the watch, you rotate an outer bezel on the back of the watch. Each full turn provides 12 hours. The movement has an 8 day reserve!
