Apologies if this is a repeated topic but my search for 'birds' largely brought up threads about the morning after.
We've just moved into a new flat which is perfect, aside from the birds. The two allocated parking spaces are directly beneath a large tree which has birds nesting in it (I'm not sure what type as I haven't actually seen them). Every morning when I come down to my car they've added an extra layer of bird poo to it.
I do not have washing facilities at the premises and on a lowly Engineers salary (from July) I can't really afford the car wash all that regularly - especially not daily which is what is required at the minute. Car covers also are not really an option, I've nowhere to store it for one thing and start work at unconventional hours and don't really want to start making noise at that time.
I've been looking at Ultrasonic Deterrents but have heard mixed reviews... does anybody have any experience?
After the move I had anticipated getting a more exciting car, not sure I want to risk the paintwork now.

Put the car cover in the boot? Flat I used to live at was like this, I used to park on the road instead
Sadly the shear volume is too large to put it in the boot without it getting the interior mucky.... and there aren't really any roads that are parking places near by. Such a pain!
