After buying my S3 last year to tour round France its time to start getting it ready for this summer -
First job was to fixing the passenger window. It didn't work when I bought the car and then a week before we left for france I managed to shatter the glass! on fitting the new glass I found that the motor was working but the new window was still sticking in the channels so I just fitted the window and left it at that for the trip (it just meant my Girlfriend had to get out at all the toll stops!!)
Today I fitted new channels felts from woolies and it all works
if a little slow so a little more adjusment required another time!!
Also gave it an oil change.
Next job - Flush out the cooling system, get drivers seat pad repaired and a new rubber gaiter for under the leather one to stop dirty flying in a making the interior look shabby.

Have yet to see one where the windows do work like newer cars! mine are like snails and have stripped them all down twice. Recon it could be that the motors are just all getting to that pensionable age. The plus side is you have learnt how to get the door cards off, so changing the door hinges will be a breeze
