Just one of the many things I've considered for the B as they seem to be highly recommended.
How do you know which ones fit?

There is/was some Dolomite Sprint ones on eBay, would they fit?
Do you just swap the linkages between the two?

Pretty sure I've got a pair of Sprint carbs in the garage if you want them.

99% sure they are HS6 / 1.75 - will have a look in the garage.

The carbs will be about right - There's nothing too special about the HS6s on a Sprint. Make sure you get the earlier ones (non-waxstat) as they will be easier to set up for the 'B and don't have so many complications.

Just as a matter of interest, what made you choose them above a nice pair of webers?

I would never choose webers on an MGB for anything other than race use where you are chasing that elusive 1 or 2 horsepower at WOT that a weber can give you over an SU. For everything else the SU is superiour especially reliability and economy throughout the rev range.

That is certainly true. From what I've read in most places (Including the 'How to powertune MGB 4 cylinder engines) Webers give minimal gains unless the engine is built to race spec. Although they do offer greater 'tuneability' with many more things you can adjust / swap / setup everyone says they also make a noticeable negative effect to MPG.

I'm not willing to pay £300+ to gain 1 BHP, Even if they do sound fantastic!
