I'm rather chuffed with it, just have to get the car out of storage, MOT'd (ran out today), taxed before I can put the plat on.

Does anyone know if you can change the reg on a SORNED car without a valid MOT, I'm guessing not but seems stupid getting a brand new MOT certificate and tax disc just to send them off to get repalced with the new reg (ps its still fully insured)

Needs to be taxed, or you need to be applying for tax at the same time AFAIK, pretty pointless changing the plate on a SORN'd car as it is not allowed on the road.

Good plate.

Perfect plate. That'll look great on the car. Did you get it direct from DVLA?

If you go to your local DVLA office, they will stamp the MOT and issue a new tax disc there and then.

No it was bought from one of their online auctions about 18 months ago by a Z3m Coupe owner. He sold the car about 6 months ago but kept the plate to put on a 1M. He decided it would not suit and sold it to me as my Z3m roady is a keeper. There are some great reg's on the Z3m's:

B1UE M (on an estoril)
RED ///M (on my sister car, 1 of the other 4 Imola red S54's Z3m roadies)
AC Z3 (and one of the other Imola AC Schnitzer Imola Red S54's Z3m roadies)
BMW 23M (my Imola AC Schnitzer S54 Z3m roadie)
V3RY M (Z3m Coupe)
V8RY M (Z3m Coupe)

Quite a collection of cool reg's now ;-)

Good to hear from you Daz, mine out of hibernation in 2 weeks :-)

Get yourself over to zRoadster, Giles has been asking about his old roady, I think he's getting all sentimental ;-)

"V3RY M" is mine, but sadly only on paper as the car is now sitting in Hexagons showroom.

Can I ask what sort of money for that plate.

Just curious as i've been looking at some similar stuff for my own car.

PM me if you don't want to post.
