Slight juddering when doing a low speed in a high gear

Hi all,
I'm relatively new to my Griffith 500 but as i've been driving it more and more recently i've noticed that if i'm in a high gear and doing a relatively low speed, when i come to accelerate there is slome slight juddering.
E.g. say i'm doing under 40mph in 4th or under 50mph in 5th (typically slowing for traffic ahead etc.) when i look to accelerate the car feels like it's juddering like if it's being choked of fuel or something.
I could imagine this sort of behaviour happening at a stupidly low speed like under 30mph in 5th, but not at the speeds i mention above. I almost feel i shouldn't be shifting into 5th until i'm doing over 55mph which can't be right...
I'll look to have a word with my local TVR specialist but just thought i'd canvas for some opinion on here too.

I think you're Griff is just complaining that you're not allowing it to show you what it can do. At those sorts of speeds and gears you're doing under 2000 RPM. You need to to drop down a gear; you'll find it a lot more interesting

Because i did so much reading and research prior to purchase i'm almost paranoid when in the car now - almost waiting for a odd noise or unusual behaviour. I had a bullet-proof Honda CR-X prior to the Griff so that hasn't helped paranoid-wise!
Happy to listen to any advice on speed/gear matching by the way :-)
The shunting is only minor at the mo but i'm not sure whether to wait till the 52,000 service. I'm on 49,500 now...

Paranoia? Yes I know what you mean.
More seriously it's not an unknown feature of the car. I think some are worse than others. My impression is that the 500s suffer more than the say the 400s, 430s and 450s. Mine certainly suffers a bit when I'm trying to trickle along in traffic but I don't worry about it.

Thanks again for everyone's input.
It turned out that the engine was running rich (V*Bart was on the right track). The fuel temperature sensor was replaced (£16) and the suppressor cap on cylinder no.8 was re-secured, and it now pulls smoothly from a low speed. Not as bad as i thought thankfully.
Colin - i also find it tough stop/starting in traffic and negotiating the multiple twists in my car park!
Case closed! :-)
