Where's the best place to go Snowboarding??
Discussion
I liked Livigno in Italy. Nice long, wide open runs. A lot to choose from. Night life is OK. Nothing spectacular.
For my next trip I am looking at Breckenridge in the states. I really fancy going to this place after all the raving reviews I've heard about it!
If you didn't know already, there is a good website for snowboarder which gives reviews on resorts.

I wasn't overly fussed about Livigno, was a pain having to cross over mountains.
Just didn't really connect with the resort at all.
Everything spread to far apart.
Cheap though
My choice would be Les Arc, been loads of times and there is so much to do.
Would love to try the States though.

I don't think anywhere in europe has decent snow at the moment.
Snowed for the past couple of days so not an issue. Also despite the lack of snow this season most European resorts have done a fantastic job of snow management so the pistes are holding up.
I assume, please correct me if I'm wrong OP, but when you say "Ski in the South of France" do you mean Isola 2000 and are you a beginner? In which case any of the "proper" ski resorts will be great for you.
If you're looking at April then my suggestion would be to "go high" anywhere over c1500m should be OK.
If cost is a consideration then there are some well priced "back door" resorts (eg; Brides Les Bains for Meribel, Bourg St Maurice for Les Arc)
