I'm off to Bruges soon and was wondering where I can park my 355? We're doing a weekend away on a bit of a budget so while we're driving there in the 355, we'll be staying in a hostel or similar. Can anyone suggest any places to park it other than just on the street? Anyone had a similar problem?

Parking in Bruges is mix of multi-storey (not recommended) street level car parks and on-street parking. I have parked my Gallardo in Bruges a number of times both on the street and street level car parks without any problems. Avoid the narrow streets in the centre as buses use them and always the chance of your pride and joy being clipped. Only real hassle is the attention you will get from passers by but I have never experienced problems with damage etc. Enjot Bruges it is a wnderful city. If you feel fit the climb to the top of the bell tower rewards you with fantastic views but there are a lot of stairs!!

Only on pistonheads! Budget weekends away in a Ferrari F355!

I would call the hotel and see what they recommend since (if I remember correctly) there are some hidden away near the old section of town rather than the ones immediately apparent to tourists

I'd recommend http://www.hoteldebarge.be/
Great value for money and free parking just in front of it

The parking garage (underground) at 't Zand should be just fine. Plus it's right at the edge of the town centre.

We were in Bruge in 2009 & the hotel had its own garages, into which our S-Type just fitted. After that we walked. The streets are very tight & driving & parking was a pain & the city is so small you don't need a car.
This was the hotel, fantastic place highly recommended.

Great well-priced joint, relatively close to centre, and has parking.

still doesn't work for me! Tried firefox and safari! Maybe your browser has the page cached? Will try my iPhone quickly....

ETA: weird! If i try and open the site on my iPhone when connected to my home wifi, it says the server can't be found. If i use 3G on my phone, it finds it fine!

Second this. Parked my Boxster there 2 years ago on a visit..... Really central location, nothing amazing but clean simple rooms.

You'll have a great time in Bruges.

By the way Mario, I like your style - camping with a 355. Always best to go against the grain. Who says these things can't be done!

Thanks for all the suggestions of places to stay, but just to clarify, we're aiming not to spend any more than about €70 for one night's accommodation!

By the way Mario, I've seen your posts on here for a while. Next time there is a Ferrari meet in London would it be ok to come along in to see the cars? I'm interested in 355s and 430s and have a 987 Boxster S at the moment. Don't want to drive one or anything, but I just want to see if they are really what I am after.

Sure, your most welcome from my side smile I'm doing Shmee's meet in a few weeks so you can have a look and poke around there.

You wrote "cars" in your post, I take it you were referring to other cars at the meet and not that I have some sort of stable of exotica going on laugh Although my pocket rocket Clio is a worthy addition to ANY stable biggrin God, I do love that car, the only make/model of car I've ever bought twice - it cost me peanuts and goes like the proverbial. The 355 may have cost 12x more, but I certainly don't get 12x less pleasure when I'm in the Clio!
