Storing Petrol...

When I win the EuroMillions this evening I'm going to need a lot of petrol to run my fleet. I'm also not going to want petrol prices/availability over the next 60 years to stop play, so what is the longest amount of time I'd be able to store petrol for in purpose built tanks etc? If I could just put a million quids worth of petrol into underground tanks at my mansion with a pump by the garaging, that'd be brilliant!

A million quid, assuming £1.40 a litre and 25mpg will get you neaely 4 million miles, so not too bad.
Isn't the problem how quickly the petrol will "go off" though?
ETA, also, those 714285 litres of fuel will have a volume of 714 cubic metres ie you need a fuel tank half a mile wide, deep, and tall.
I imagine there might be some restrictions on keeping it in your back garden.
Or, you could use 150000 green plastic petrol containers...

School was a long time ago but I seem to recall oil came from rotting vegetation & fish etc? Rather than bury people why don't we just chuck 'em in a big hole with all the old Christmas trees? Surely an investment for the future that?*maybe longer.

Depends how big the site is. Unleaded tanks can be anywhere from 10,000 litres up to 100,000 litres.How much fuel can a big one store I wonder?
An avergae busy site would probably have about 50,000 litres of Unleaded storage possibly split over 2 tanks.
Of course, you'll be after Super Unleaded, which generally gets stored in the smallest tanks.
