Saw an article in an italian magazine (quattroruote) that plans had been hatched to start building the Tuscan and Tuscan S in italy by a leading car manufacturer over here. Suposedly they would be built for the european market and would be priced around 100,000euros. this is all a read, not sure if its going ahead or not, any truth in this rumour, anybody know anymore about this?

Unlikely to be any truth in it. The character at the centre of it is said to be quite a er... 'character'.

It's one of those stories that has gained credibility simply because other people have printed it. From what I could establish from contacts in Italy it was a load of tosh

i wouldnt be surprised if it was something to push tvr into building more LHD cars, as i talked to one of the dealers here and they said they could sell more than they could ever get hold of but there is just such a shortage of LHD cars.
