What tune is this?
Discussion
I've been hearing this everywhere on and off for what seems like months and I need to know what it is, simply because not knowing is annoying me now.
Anyone know what the music starting at 48mins 56secs is?

It is indeed Mumford and Sons. It's called 'The Cave'.

I actually downloaded that last year, but I haven't got round to listening to it yet... I really ought not to buy quite so much music. Actually listening to the stuff I do buy might be an idea, too.
You're not the only one... I tracked down this and bought the album at full price (prior to the download era) only to find a long time later that I'd had the track on a free promo CD for years!Ultuous said:

Typical, eh?I quite like that song though. The melody of the chorus reminds me of something else, but I'm buggered if I can think what it is. That's going to be the thing that annoys me from now on, having finally discovered the answer to my orignal problem.
For a second I thought it was a link to a song by the "other" Mono, the Japanese band.

I don't know if it sounds like something else or just has a familiar 60s throwback sound that the likes of Saint Etienne perfected very well (genuinely curious as that's probably what intrigued me about the track in the first place too - I think it was used on the Rover 25/ 45 advert!)...
I've just listened to the LP again and it's now being moved to the 'dinner muzak' pile - it's pleasant but not a classic from the era (hence I was p'd at forking out good money on a track I already had!)
I'm liking this Japanese Mono (not heard them before - I'm out of touch!).... A little like shoegazing with decent production (I'm always disappointed with 'classic' 90s albums that sounded great to me and thousands of others in my student digs, but now sound dog raw through a decent system!)
