anyone in here use a company called centre gravity??

hi guys i want a company that knows what they're doing when it comes to suspension setup, i'll be upgrading in the near future and dont want to have to make the track to nitron over in oxford....
I came across these guys on a google search, i love the site and the info it provides and it seems a very prfessional setup from the images ive viewed, i Really am nervous about taking my pride and joy anywhere other than people i really know.... so anyone use centre gravity in atherstone and have some feed back for me??
i know im not a porsche owner but i was directed here from the main forum, anyone got some solid feedback for me please, i will be asking them to install and setup my nitron race setup.

He is an expert and takes time to explain what he is doing and why he is doing it. He looked after my Honda S2000 and I am sure I recall he had set up a Merc the day before I was there.
I would give him a ring and discuss your requirements, tell him what you want from the car and see what he says.

Chris has probably forgotten more than all the 'others' know!
I've been to several specialists with different marques over the years and I've never ever left anywhere with my expectations so far exceeded as when I left Center Gravity.
In short if you can get yourself onto Chris's waiting list you cannot get any better!

Just in the process of booking my 930 in with Chris based on rec's by friends who have used him- having only spoken to him on the phone about my issues- he's way ahead and has diagnosed and suggested fixes for my car which are bang on before he's even seen/driven it.... I'm so impressed I've to get over from dublin on a ferry and stay a few nights to get the work done....
Based on these rec's and what I have read on other fora about these folks I would say they don't get any better at what they do than C of G. I drove a 993 set up extensively down to and around the ring recently.... Frankly- Porsche could learn a thing or three about geometry from him... I believe Chris turned his back on a fairly high flying career of some sort to follow this - his passion- he seems to think it's about mathematics and science... From what I've experienced... I wouldn't argue with him....

Chris 'reset' my suspension for me last year on my 996 as it was way too extreme for my liking & to use his words was like a 'Terrier on acid' down the back roads weaving around etc. His reputation across the various forums incl. PH is more than justified & hence why you have to wait to get a booking slot though people travel from all over the UK to him & many leave their cars with him to be attended to whilst they don't need them etc.
Some would say he borders on OCD, though his level of detail is exceptional & his observations don't just stop at the suspension when the car is in his care as he is genuinely interested in making sure you enjoy your car fully. If you have any doubts & also live fairly close to his business, it is well worth dropping in on a Saturday morning for a quick chat before you make your booking - he is very welcoming & you will understand first hand how he does things.

His testing of the car with the new set-up is by the way as good as everyone says on the forums - he isn't just a master at the suspension set-up, but also a skilled 'wheel man'.

Chris Franklin is a genious, there is no better place to take your car too for suspension work and he works his magic on other marques too. 
He made my Mustang handle out of this world, he himself was simply amazed by how well it handled after his magic, top bloke, fair prizes and a genius.

If the OP is after someone to install and setup suspension on a BMW race car then I'd suggest finding a race team who run similar cars and let them do it. They will have more specific experience of your type of car, what fits (e.g. clearances at different set-ups) and what results you're likely to get from different set-ups.
Specialised expertise is nearly always well worth seeking out. I once had a well respected racing garage that specialised in a completely different make of car to my Porsche 911 SC and whilst they got it set-up "OK" it wasn't as good as how a Porsche specialist did it previously and subsequently (they weren't available at the time for some reason, hence going elsewhere).

He worked on my car on the day of his daughters birthday. We were hoping to get done in plenty of time so that he could get off for dinner with the family. I even told him I could get a train home and come back the next day but he carried on till he was finished at near 9pm (he started at 10am). It was worth it though, the car now handles like a dream.
