The pipes that run under the inlet manifold can get quite corroded. Worth cleaning them up and also replacing the hoses, together with those that run through the front bulkhead to the heater. ACT do them in silicone. Maybe worth also draining the block using the drain taps on either side, and flushing through. Just done this to mine - fortunately no crud present.

Another few jobs on the checklist cheers #7.Dix
Not too bad a job but definatly need 2 people to put the dash back on especially the steering column. nipped all the hoses to the matrix steam still coming up through the vents but nowhere near as bad. Looks an absolute nightmare to remove the matrix from the heater box. see what it goes like after a couple of weeks back on the road if no better ill have to bite the bullet and take it all apart again. Inlet manifold has stopped leaking WTF? never touched it but its stopped? so gunna give the cooling system a propper flush tomorrow and clean some hoses out. By the way like Wedg1e said the dashboard bolt above the glove box is a nightmare.

Flushed the system out added new coolant, flushed pipe by pipe, Hey presto no more steam but inlet manifold starts leaking again?

Wedges gotta love em. Replaced that (like you said Campbell not a bad job at all) just loads of back strain leaning all that way over. Fired her up and she is running perfect. No leaks or steam anywhere, took her out for a few miles to blled the system and she was breathing fire like a rocketship, worth all the scratches up me hands and arms off Ba***rd cable ties. Ready for the RUSTY III and BBWF bring em on
. Now its time to get
