Looking at this superb kit car for summer use, and have been shown a copy of the v5 (2nd reg keeper) (now on its 4th keeper)...and it was reg to poss one of the worlds most famous singer / performers we have ever known...sadly no longer with us. Due to insurance and purchasing value would the past owner ship have any bearing on the value... at this stage cannot disclose the car or name... but need to stress very very very famous name! if I get her and verify all is correct will post pics etc... welcome your views need to add its a great car and a head turner so hope to get her for the summer.... thanks again

It all depends on who it was, someone loved then maybe.

Harold Shipman was very famous but no ones gonna want his old car.

I know this car, Michael Jackson's old Robin Hood 2B. He collected the kit the day my mate got his, he had Bubbles in the Chrysler Voyager. It was on eBay last week, it has just been relisted in the kitcars section.

It is always a nice talking point and MAY net you a sale but unfortunately unless he did something famous with it or you have photographs of him in it then I doubt it will add value, and I hope you are not paying over the odds now. Elvis's Cadillac is one thing, but a kitcar owned by someone who just happened to be famous and was part of a fleet he had will not really add any value I feel.

As a sidebar, have you seen how many ex-David Beckham Porsches come up for sale?? And the egotistical Chav always has his initials embroided into the leather. Quite why anyone would want a Porsche with DB stitched everywhere when there are 30 similar cars out there is beyond me.

Im buying for the car.... and the fame name side is not really an issue with me one way or other, a talking point for sure 1000 % Its not football related name as you mentioned mr B would say on a par tho or in eyes of many poss more of a following depends on each personal views... as far as price would like to think the price reflects the car only and condition etc etc tech question how do I post pics on here ??
thanks yet again

But he was born ' Farrokh Bulsara' and then legally changed his name to 'Farrokh Mercury' and just went by the name 'Freddie' so surely the V5 would have been registered to Farrokh Mercury?

I may be wrong though.... in fact probably wrong
