Pagid Pads question
Discussion
Hi
I've been having issues with my brakes on my 930 for ages ! They're uprated to 993 big red calipers but the problem is they pretty instantly lock up. It's been looked at several times - different Masters - etc.
So I decided to take a look at the actual pads themselves - seems a basic first step that no one else has looked at !
It seems that they're a different compounds - well at least different part numbers
Some of the digits have been rubbed off but the fronts read
Textar ?F (43P)
?.331.94000
21402/175 ?2
Germany 030 ?
The rears read
Textar T428 (43P)
953/175/237
993.351.930.01
Germany 11480
It may be that they are the same pad. The rears may just have porsche parts no's and the front are the same pad but with pagid part number.
Does anyone know if these are different compounds ?
Also the front pads are marked with 2 yellow lines on the pad casing and the rears with 2 yellow lines and 1 white ?

Isn't locking up because there's not enough weight on the front end and the tyres are too skinny? Maybe there are a few tricks to try there.
As for the pads, I suppose some may be grabbier or more potent than others, but I'm not sure what this would have to do with locking up? Maybe someone like minemeister (9mracing.co.uk) can advise in a quick phone call. He would know the best pads, pagid orange etc., for big reds.
