A horny problem...

I've got no horn

Fuse 3, the 15 amp one is intact, when I press the horn push I can hear the horn relay trip but the horn doesn't sound. I've swapped the relay to no avail and put my multimeter across bothe sets of terminals down by the horns with no luck.

What have I missed? Is there another fuse hiding somewhere?

Do you have 12v at the relay?

I'd check the terminals on the horn (not button), might just.need cleaning and re fitting?

Have a clean around the contact on the steering column.... clean the contact and the circular ring which it presses against

I'll check one thing I didn't do is make sure the black wire is still going to ground.

Shouldn't need to check around the horn push as the relay is tripping?

What's the best way to kick the fans on, paperclip the otter switch?

Fans work not got a multimeter on me at the mo, must be one of three things?

Missing earth, check black wire is ground.
No 12v at relay common.
Purple/White wire broke. If so what is routing?

Will put a battery charger across horns when I'm home to double check they are still good.

My Chimaera was wired differently to the manual, and anything in Steve Heath's book... actually had its own fuse

Ever seen a fuse fail like this???



Both blades had fractured off yet the fuse still sat in the fusebox as if it was intact.... Somewhere in the middle of the bloody fusebox, nowhere near where the diagram said it was
