How did you fix them on? I got some clear ones to replace the orange ones and the are foam backed but not sticky.

Did you just get some more double sided foam and cut to shape, or did you do it another way?

The OE side lights are good quality not like the cheap after market clear side lights. The OE light have spring clips the cheap ones rely on removing the backing paper on the foam which gives you a sticky surface but they fall off...You need to use SILICONE !

There wasn't any backing paper with mine - just foam already stuck to the repeater.

Where did you get yours from? I may need to repurchase by the sound of it.

Mine had a stainless steel spring clip which wedged behind the body work,I thought to my self when fitting the new ones "these are rubbish".Don`t forget the silver bulbs..you will get the fried egg effect !

My eBay specials turned out to be a bit of a false economy - came adrift the first time I cleaned the car and wouldn't stick back down properly, so I have taken the plunge and purchased some from Racetechdirect. A lot more expensive but so much better - they clip in properly and I don't even need the sticky foam!

One question though - which non-orange bulbs does everyone use for their side repeaters?

Got low profile led ones on mine all one unit.

For bulbs though go for chrome so they are hard to see when off.

I did this mod with the racetech kit which also included the front indicator clear lenses. Highly recomended if you want to make this conversion as the Racetech repeaters were identical quality to the OE. The front indicator lenses were also identical quality (but clear).

The front indicators are fixed in with glue and a bead of silicon and are easy to fit if you have the inspection panel in the front wheel arches. I just used a piece of wood and a hammer to knock the old lenses out of the holes. The side repeaters just clip in as per the original ones.

The only issue I have found is that most garages and Halfords only stock orange bulbs with offset pips on them rather than pips that are directly opposite each other which the OE bulb holders require, you have to order them from a specialist.
