FREE CARLIMITS DAY - TOMORROW!!!
Discussion
I have a Carlimits (large group) day booked tomorrow @ North Weald airfield.
My car is broken so I can't make it
I will give this away free to the person who I deem gives the best answer to the following sentence in 20 words or less.
"Mr MXT should give me his CarLimits day because....."
ENTRIES CLOSE AT 10PM, MR MXT'S DECISION IS FINAL.

Many thanks Mr MXT, I had a superb day out today and am now suitably wind burned!
I even managed a faster time around the larger track than 5 Elises! Not bad for a 1991 1.6 MX5, my tyres are looking a bit rough though....
When's the next track day?
What was your best time in the end Ben?I even managed a faster time around the larger track than 5 Elises! Not bad for a 1991 1.6 MX5, my tyres are looking a bit rough though....
When's the next track day?

I'm pleased to report that the zero oil pressure does seem to be a simple case of me throwing it around too much and emptying the sump. It was fine all the way home.

Did you get lost on the top track?
Hi Al
Somehow I managed to get around the course without getting lost once - that took some serious concentration! I managed a 65.27 in the end with 5 Lotusses (Loti) behind me. I somehow managed to knock 2.5 seconds off my best time with the last run of the day, but far more impressive was my car's ability to stand up to it all. I had to wash all my clothes when I got in because they all stank of burnt rubber..... try explaining that one to your wife.
Glad to hear your car survived the day relatively unscathed, it's a shame you missed the last part as the track was great fun, who would have thought you could powerslide / drift / skid uncontrollably in a 20 year old hairdressers car at what felt like 80 (but was more likely about 40) - the R8 driver managed to get his tyres down to the thread by the end.
Cheers
Ben

Great stuff! I was gutted to miss the last part, but between my wing mirror snapping when I hit that bump and the oil pressure scare I just couldn't make myself continue. I just agreed to buy my first flat so it's not the ideal time to be looking for a new car!
We have got to meet up on another track day and compare notes though, ideally once I've done my oil/water pumps and cam belt!
Any joy with yours yet Russ?
