Great TRAINING? distances!!!! That's 56 and 112 miles, with the first riders expected back in with average speeds of 18.7mph!!! 18.7mph over a distance of 112 miles? I'd consider myself lucky to make it round the 56 miler with a 15mph average speed whilst retaining my lungs inside my chest! Still, it sounds like a nice ride out, and not too far from me. No clash with footie either, being a Sunday.
Hmmmm.... This starts less than a mile from my house so I suspect I'd end up paying £25 for an energy bar and to ride a route not far off what I do on my own anyway so I think I'll sit this one out.
There are some great roads and scenery once you get north of Henley & Marlow though, for anyone that's considering entering.

I might get shot down for this but surely they are on public roads, so what's to stop you just happening to be riding on those same roads that same day? There are some great roads and scenery once you get north of Henley & Marlow though, for anyone that's considering entering.
I thought the same with the L2B when the entries filled up.

One of my old stomping grounds. I spent many a summer evening riding up to Stokenchurch and back down Pishill, and many different ways around it. I miss having that sort of ride 5 mins from home...
