I want to sort out the handling on my 1 series, was thinking of upgrading the suspension and binning the run flats

Has anyone got any suggestions. I just don't think it rides/handles particularly at the moment.

Its a 123d hatch

Do the tyres first, then see what you think.

My experience of the 123d (coupe M-sport) was it was undersprung and damped and as such could spend a lot of time pinging off the bumpstops on bumpy roads .. Eibachs can help with the under sprung but not the underdamped, step in BMW with its performance suspension kit better springs and dampers (and stiffer front ARB)
Ps there maybe an unused set for sale on babybmw net wink

There is a lot you can do it just depends on how much you want to spend.

Getting rid of the runflats is the first thing to do.

After that you can replace the front wishbones and rear subframe bushes with the M3 items which tightens the whole car up a lot.

After that you are into new antiroll bars, coilovers and the quaife LSD.
