HOW dare this german car company steal the song... very poor cover version of ELO - Mr Blue Sky. This song belongs to the mighty blues! AND the City Of Birmingham. Birmingham was the heart of the motoring manufacturing .. and ruined by lack of government support! And in come some germans, who obviously can't find any decent german music, and use it to push more foreign crap our way!

I remember the olden days of BMW adverts, usually very minimalist, very clever and only 'understood' by those in the know.

Now they are just st aimed at s. Shame.

I quite liked the advert and the car looks nice. If stty movies about a little st kids ice hockey team can ruin a queen song, why should a sing like Mr Ble Sky not be used in a BMW advert?

The car ads over here in the US are great, they usually show them power sliding / burning rubber and positively sell driving like a nutter! The UK namby pamby rules are so OTT.

The Italian dubbed BMW advert had Florence and the Machines on it instead i think or some recent band (was watching the football on SKY Italia or whatever its called).

After the BMW advert came this awesome Volvo ad that i doubt will show in the UK!

I'd love to make car adverts, they would be totally illegal for TV so only shown once or twice (at the right time inbetween major TV shows with the right audience) then put on the web for everyone to enjoy.

By keeping the cost low you could use them once then onto the web with no problem.

Could make some awesome illegal adverts.
