Removing shadows in Photoshop

I was playing around with my camera the other day, taking the shot below when a proper photographer came up and remarked that I shouldn't worry so much about the shadow, because it would be very simple to remove in Photoshop. Can someone explain how?



ETA That's possible not such a good example actually, as I went to such lengths on the positioning that there isn't really that much shadow there any more. You get the idea though!

You can use the Clone tool to take other parts of non-shadowed body work and replace the bits with shadow, as below.



To be honest though i would still rather get the shot right (if possible) in camera then rely on photoshop.

I would rather take out the photographer in the background. Content aware fill in Photoshop CS5 would do that easily.

Really clever togs of course just start with a new canvas in PS and paint in what they want

Maybe my paranoia was justified then.

The comment was because I was adopted ever more contorted positions to try and get the same sort of shot minus the shaddow. Given where the sun was positioned and the way the car was parked it wasn't really possible, though.
