Comand DVD - Possible to just buy a newer copy?

Apologies for the somewhat vague nature of this one, I'm asking on behalf of the in-laws based on a basic conversation over the phone with non-car people.

They have a ML320 (~2008/9) with sat nav but the content seems to be out of date. I got a photo of the DVD and hope this supplies you with all the info you might need but what I'm trying to work out is if they can just get an updated DVD for whatever unit they have in the car?

Where is the most cost effective place to get an update and is it a case of getting new data or does the unit need it's software updating too?

Sorry if this gets asked on a regular basis, I searched first but got swamped with the results that came back (mainly links to torrent sites).

That site only seems to do the TeleAtlas DX CDs - good for my CL but not the GL which is similar to the one the OP is looking for unfortunately . In fact, the MLs and GLs aren't even listed! Pity as I thought I might get them cheaper than my usual source, Comand Online but looks like I'm out of luck.

Comand Online have the DVD in question but it is nearly twice the price at £225 inc VAT, but it does contain all of Europe rather than just the individual countries. http://www.comandonline.co.uk/COMAND-MAP-DVD-V12.0.... Still cheaper than most dealers though .....

Indeed not, so mine normally has to last for at least 5 years before I bother changing them!
