i was on a trackday at Donington on Friday and got a passenger ride in a black M400 tuned by John Noble Motorsport to 500bhp! had the reverie rear splitter on which looked very nice as well.
I didn't catch the name of the guy who owned it (or forgot with my terrible memory for names) but it was kind of him to take me out for a spin. it sort of made up for my race car engine dying :-)

was just looking on youtube to see if anyone uploaded any vids to see if my MR2 was on and saw this clip of the Noble from inside a Clio 172. check out the flames from the exhausts, a lot more than i would expect?? don't get me wrong it looks cool. is that just a combination of un-burnt fuel and pressure in the exhaust? MikeT you'll know the answer to this...

i ca't see it on the second video, but it's unburnt fuel passing through the exhaust on gear changes.

hi james

the noble was my old car! even faster than when i had it as was 'only' 440bhp when mine - never got the exhaust done

had a great day in the csl though it was busy. met matt in the blue clio cup who took the video - was going really well all day, though he needs to get his camera mount sorted out!

that silver m3 is not me at 1.53 in the second video though i did get stuck behind him at least twice during the day. think he thought we were having fun playing. i just got bored of going slow and pulled into the pits

uploading some video from the day, will post a link when i get it sorted

cheers

Haha, no. It's a 2.0 Litre running circa 520BHP at that point. :-)

Not as bad as mine was with 100HP more. redface
I think at some point noticeably before either of them being quite that powerful, we'd been seeing it dipping below 4MPG on trackwhistle

hi there Conleth,

sorry for the mis-identification.
yeah, there were some slow M3s on track i have to say. one was quicker than the rest so i'll assume it was you :-). It probably was though! you'll have to let me know if you have any footage of me overtaking or being overtaken (silver MR2). was a v busy day but i was having a great time till my engine gave up. weather was great.

hi james

no probs, don't think i'll be one of the faster m3s on track - still trying to drive it like a noble - really miss the weight over the back end of a mid engined car - you can really put the power down early in the bends compared to the csl.

here are a couple of vids, not watched them yet so not sure if you're in them
